Manufacturing Of Machinery Companies in Malaysia

The Malaysian government has been actively promoting the development of the country’s manufacturing sector, in a bid to move the economy up the value chain and create higher-paying jobs. As part of this effort, a number of incentives and programmes have been introduced to attract foreign investment in the manufacturing of machinery and equipment.

As a result, a number of multinational companies (MNCs) have set up manufacturing operations in Malaysia, including those in the machinery and equipment sector. Some of the notable MNCs with a presence in Malaysia include Caterpillar, Hitachi, Komatsu, Mitsubishi, Toshiba and Yamaha.

These companies have chosen to locate their manufacturing operations in Malaysia due to a number of factors, including the country’s strategic location, well-developed infrastructure, skilled workforce and favourable government policies.

The Malaysian government is committed to further developing the country’s manufacturing sector, and this is expected to create more opportunities for foreign companies to set up operations in Malaysia.
