To Carry On The Business Of Importers Companies in Malaysia

The business of importing companies in Malaysia is subject to the Companies Act 2016 and the Companies Regulations 2018. The Companies Act 2016 provides for the regulation of companies in Malaysia and the Companies Regulations 2018 sets out the requirements for the registration of companies in Malaysia.

A company may be registered as an importer company in Malaysia if it is registered as a private company or a public company. A private company is a company which:

(a) is limited by shares or by guarantee; and

(b) has a minimum of two (2) members,

and a public company is a company which:

(a) is limited by shares; and

(b) has a minimum of seven (7) members.

In order to register as an importer company in Malaysia, the company must submit the following documents to the Registrar of Companies:

(a) the Memorandum and Articles of Association of the company;

(b) the application form for registration of a company;

(c) the registration fee; and

(d) such other documents as may be prescribed by the Registrar of Companies.

After the company is registered, the company may carry on the business of importing into Malaysia
