Catering And Restaurant Companies in Malaysia

Catering and restaurant companies in Malaysia have to comply with the Food Act 1983 and the Food Regulations 1985. Under the Food Act, it is an offence to sell food that is not fit for human consumption. The Food Regulations state that all food premises must be registered with the local authorities.

Catering companies in Malaysia must have a valid license from the Ministry of Health in order to operate. They are also required to submit a food safety plan to the ministry, which must be approved by the ministry before operations can commence.

All food premises in Malaysia must display a notice board which must include the following information:
- The name and address of the food premises
- The name and address of the person in charge of the food premises
- The registration number of the food premises

All food must be prepared in a clean and hygienic environment. All utensils and surfaces must be clean and free from contamination. Food handlers must wash their hands thoroughly with soap and water before handling food.

All food premises in Malaysia must have a food safety plan which must be approved by the Ministry of Health. The food safety plan must include the following:
