Manufacture Of Biotech Pharmaceuticals Companies in Malaysia

The Malaysian Biotechnology Corporation (MBC) was established in 2001 as a holding company under the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) to spearhead the development of the biotechnology industry in Malaysia.

MBC is the owner of BiotechCorp, the implementing agency for the National Biotechnology Policy, which was launched in 2005.

The policy outlines the government’s commitment to develop Malaysia into a regional hub for biotechnology and to create a vibrant and sustainable biotechnology industry that will contribute to the economy and improve the quality of life of Malaysians.

Since its establishment, MBC has been working closely with various stakeholders to create an enabling environment for the growth of the biotechnology industry in Malaysia.

MBC’s role is to facilitate the development of the biotechnology industry by providing funding, infrastructure and regulatory support.

To date, MBC has provided over RM1 billion in funding to support the development of the biotechnology industry in Malaysia.

In addition, MBC has also established the Malaysian Biotechnology Directory, which is a one-stop platform that provides information on the biotechnology industry in Malaysia.
