To Carry On The Business Of Investment Holding Companies in Malaysia

Investment holding companies in Malaysia are required to carry on the business of investment holding and to comply with the provisions of the Companies Act, 1965. The investment holding company must have its registered office in Malaysia and must maintain a statutory reserve.

The company must also comply with the following requirements:

1. The company must not hold more than 30% of the shares in any one company.

2. The company must not own more than four properties in Malaysia.

3. The company must not engage in any business other than that of an investment holding company.

4. The company must not have more than twenty shareholders.

5. The company must not have a paid-up capital of more than RM2 million.
