Wholesale And Retail Of New Motor Vehicles Companies in Malaysia

Wholesale and retail of new motor vehicles companies in Malaysia are required to obtain a license from the Malaysian Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI). The license is valid for one year and must be renewed annually.

Wholesale and retail of new motor vehicles companies are also required to be registered with the Malaysian Road Transport Department (JPJ). Companies that are registered with JPJ are required to display their registration number at their premises.

In order to obtain a license from MITI, companies must submit an application form and supporting documents, which include a business plan, company profile, and audited financial statements. Companies must also have a paid-up capital of at least RM500,000.

MITI will assess the applications and decide whether to issue a license. If the application is approved, the company will be required to pay a license fee of RM5,000.

The license from MITI allows companies to carry out the following activities:

-Import and export of new motor vehicles

-Sale of new motor vehicles

-Sale of spare parts and accessories for new motor vehicles

-Sale of used motor vehicles

-Repair and maintenance of motor vehicles
